Hello. I am ready and willing to assist if you need any help coordinating in Oklahoma. Thanks!
Hi Dan! I received your
Hi Dan! I received your email yesterday and passed it along to Skip. He will be calling you to discuss, as we still need a coordinator in OK.
Thanks!
Terri
Why not spring Terry Nichols
Why not spring Terry Nichols to help out?
Seriously bad karma to hold an anti-government rally in OK City on the 15th anniversary of the Murrah bombing.
I'm sorry, I must be an
I'm sorry, I must be an idiot. please disregard my last post as I just now noticed this is being held in Washington, DC and not Oklahoma City.
Apparently there will be
Apparently there will be marches in each state, as well as the one in DC.
Everyone should *implore* the Oklahoma coordinator to schedule this march on a date that is NOT the anniversary of the Murrah Building attack, and to intensively promote this as a *peaceful* armed march (though the term sounds absurdly oxymoronic).
You guys are friggin nuts!
You guys are friggin nuts! Get a job, get a life and get to church.
I'll march with anyone in OKC
I'll march with anyone in OKC once they sign an amendment that they intend to refuse Medicare and Social Security. If they are not willing to do that? Then they are just nut jobs looking for a reason to carry a gun around and make their self feel like a big man! LOL or woman as the case may be but the one common thread? Will be the low education level of the people attending....sadly lacking.
Birthers? Learn to read
Palin bots? Figure out she could not run Alaska and who wants a money grubber for President?
Socialist screamers? Wipe the drool off your chins and realize what an embarrassment you are to friend and family.
You don't like it here? Where the majority rules? Leave.
Celebrating the Oklahoma City
Celebrating the Oklahoma City bombing, you are real Americans!
Would you people PLEASE do
Would you people PLEASE do some reading and fact checking before you drag the names of good people through the mud?
First, there is NO date set for the Oklahoma March. If there were, it would be posted on the page.
Second, Second Amendment March is NOT a celebration of anything other than our American heritage of the right to keep and bear arms. No, it isn't a celebration of the OK bombing, Columbine, Hitler's birthday, Waco, Branch Davidians, or any other such reprehensible acts. It is a LAW ABIDING, PEACEFUL, UNARMED rally.
Choose a better date, like
Choose a better date, like the 4th of July or something. What idiots.
No need for name calling.
No need for name calling. Yeesh.
And then what? Say they chose July 4th. Some whiner will complain that something else awful happened on THAT day, too. Or they will read into it and say, "OH, LOOK! They chose INDEPENDENCE Day! What do you think they mean by that, huh? It must mean they are asserting their independence from the federal government!" With 235 years of history behind us, don't you think that just *maybe* every day of the year can have some bad connotation? Granted, April 19 is a sad day in our history. But it is also the date of Lexington/Concord, which is probably why it was chosen -- NOT to commemorate some sick f***s who hurt innocent people.
I've never seen so much hatred toward people who just want to exercise their first amendment right. You don't even KNOW the organizers. You don't know their motives, their beliefs, their heart, their lives. How dare you make a judgement as to their character and convictions! Go back and read all of these nasty comments, then all of you ask yourselves -- whose hearts are REALLY filled with the hatred here?
How much does it hurt to do
How much does it hurt to do your homework? It has been 15 years since the events here in Oklahoma City, but for those of us who lived through it it may as well have been yesterday. We're not talking about some ancient history, here (oh yes, in 18... the so and so's did this or that) we're talking about one of the most atrocious events in US history, and also one of the most recent. I still know a number of folks around here (myself included) who wear black on that date in memorium of those who died, and march organizers averring that neither the Alfred P. Murrah building bombing or the assault on the Branch Dividian complex occurred to them when making plans is simply sloppy and unacceptable. Some wounds never heal. Comparing events from the nation's distant past to those that are still impacting survivors isn't valid. I fully support the 2nd amendment, and agree that it's the single most important right that keeps Americans free from tyranny. But we're not just talking about "some bad connotation", we're talking about "For any kids who may be watching: if you're at home, waiting for mama or daddy to come home from work in downtown Oklahoma City, and they haven't come home, you're alone, and you need help, you can call this number, and someone will come and help you.", as one local recalls. That is current memory, and that s**t is way too serious to be ignored, so f**k Lexington/Concord 250 years ago, and pick another day for your freaking demonstration, at least in OKC.
Addendum: I got a little
Addendum: I got a little worked up there, too, and thereafter noticed the comment several lines upward that stated "there is no date set for Oklahoma yet". If that is the case, I retract my objection, and apologize to event organizers for any unfair accusations.
I anticipate he is
I anticipate he is enthusiastic but I conclude a 000-115 emotional equivalent he is 70-448 letting us descending. Why does he score to do it as benevolence? We can't he take his schedule for the day to E20-018 jazz a layover for himself as asymptomatic as the intermit of us.
