Guidelines for speaking with the Press - if you are approached at the event.
There are times when the mainstream media reports the news in a biased and unfair manner, but that doesn't change how we should act as Second Amendment supporters. On April 19th there will be major media outlets not just from America, but from all over the world. Some of them are fascinated that America can maintain the freedom to arm their citizens when the rest of the world has chosen to repress this basic human right. When speaking to the press, always tell the truth. Don't spin or fabricate. Honesty is always the best policy. We have nothing to hide and nothing to be ashamed of. Above all, be polite, civil, and get your message across in a low-key, rational manner. People block out anger, but will be receptive to a small voice with powerful words.

Guidelines for a peaceful March:
Please remember we do not advocate violence or confrontation - we have professional security on site to handle any incidents that may arise
If we get rowdy, that's just what they want - we do not want to instigate or provoke. This is a peaceful rally.
If you encounter people trying to cause trouble, or acting inappropriately use your cell phone to video the incident and get NPS/DC Security/Police.
Let the experts handle it. Volunteers should NOT physically touch anyone or get into a shouting match.
Questions may be referred to Liz Foley, Media Director.
