Montana 2nd Amendment Rally

Everything is on schedule for the rally in Helena Montana and the event will kickoff with some great speakers at High Noon. We have some fantastic ways for the people to get invovled here in Montana and will look forward to sending everyone across Montana with the tools they need to stand up for our Constitution and take back America.

A recent press release was printed in the Helena paper, and a discussion regarding safety was printed in part. For purpose of clarification, this is what took place: My meeting with the Helena Police, Capitol Security, and the Lewis & Clark Sheriffs Department,in planning for logistics for this event led to discussing the safety of all the people coming to the rally. I was asked if I was telling people coming to the rally to not have thier guns loaded. I directly said that in the interest of safety I understood thier request. I will not tell anyone to unload thier weapons at the rally. In the article, it was said that I am requesting people to unload thier guns, and what should have been stated is: "I understood the request made by security." In this meeting, I told security that I would not be checking weapons at the gate.

The following statment covers where we are with SAM and the Rally here in Montana: Firearms are allowed in and on State property. Please practice safe firearm handling at all times. Handguns need to remain in holsters at all times. Be sure you understand and follow all firearm laws when carrying and transporting firearms. With rights come responsibilities!!!!
