Hello NY:
Starting to make plans for DC 4/19/10. So far there 3 of us going down. Would like to know if anyone has heard of any transportation being planned around the Capital District Area (Albany)? Thanks conexster.

I just found out about this march and have posted the info on our website. The NYSRPA had a similar event in Albany a few months ago and I believe they are working on making it an annual event.
As NY gun owners we need to work together to change our oppressive laws. Stop by our site and lets work towards getting our rights back in NY.

I was VERY disappointed to find out that the only hotel discount was a TOTALLY NON-SMOKING facility. There are a lot of NRA smokers out there - where are we all going to stay??? Hopefully next time they will include us in their plans.

How are you excluded? You can still attend. You have several options:
1. Go and don't smoke
2. Go and smoke outside only
3. Book a room of your choice at a hotel of your choice
The organizers have tried to make things easier for people by blocking off a set of rooms. Unfortunately, they will never be able to please all of the people all of the time.

There are 3 of us booked at the said Hotel. My brother is the only smoker. He'll
head out side if he needs a smoke. No different than it is when he visits me at my home, need to smoke - outside. WE have bigger problems at hand than smoker or nonsmoker. WE need to stand together show the Government that they can't mess with the CONSTITUTION, our BILL of RIGHTS, and most importantly our GOD given Rights. Hope to see you all in DC.

What are the plans for an Albany march?
I am heading down from
I am heading down from Brooklyn when I get off work Monday morning at 3 a.m. --- Haven't decided if I will drive or take Amtrak round trip ... anyone else going down from Brooklyn or NYC?

I'll be in DC for the March next Monday. Heading down from Long Island.
Is there anything planned for Albany? Maybe those of us from NY can gather during the event in DC to discuss plans, then post what we discussed on this board next week to get more NYers involved.
